We visited Mykonos town on most nights while on our trip away, the island is very small and so it’s really the main ‘place to be’ for shops, restaurants and for some great views of the shimmering sunset, especially against the age-old Mykonos windmills near ‘Little Venice’ or the harbour on the other side of town.
my favourite thing though, like many people, is just getting lost down all of the little tiny streets and alleyways.
You can feel so much history in the town but at the same time the whole place is immaculately white-washed, well kept and has this enchanting particular charm and bright character with it’s pops of colour and nooks and crannies.
Most nights we both opted for a dinner of different types of pasta dishes as it’s so fresh and delicious there, especially with seafood! I had to pass on the wine this time – But I can’t imagine how relaxing it would be to sit and people-watch with a glass (or five) of Sauvignon blanc (My personal fave) for an hour or two.
Most nights I felt like dressing quite fuss-free. Not too many accessories and something that is easy to move around in as you tend to do alot of walking around and exploring. I adore these heels recently, The wooden heel gives them a very current twist and then I can never pass up a wrap around/tie detail nowadays.
Look at me getting so carried away and blabbering on. Have you been to Mykonos and how did you enjoy your time there?
Great place for a little break and a chance to re-charge!
