Striking, warm, magnetic and nectarous is how I would would put Dior’s new fragrance-offering into words.
If you have read any of my pervious perfume write-up’s you might know that I am most attracted to scents verging on more of the ‘unusual’ & distinctive side and that I am particularly partial to a sprinkle (or lathering) of vanilla.
I have always been aware of the original and very popular ‘Poison’ fragrance since I was little. My mum would come home from a night at a restaurant or from being with friends on winter nights and I remember running up to her when she got home to give her a hug and I remember breathing in this compelling & audacious scent from her big coat & scarf, which was Poison. (I used to sneak into her beauty cupboard and always remember it sitting there)
So for me, this intoxicating yet fresher and younger take on the original Poison is something I am immediately drawn to.
It makes me feel like calling up my friends, telling them to grab their high heels and head to the swankiest bar in town with me for a night of giggles. It is also a scent that makes me feel bold and unforgiving. I would say that it is definitely something that a younger girl/woman would probably gravitate towards, even though there is no limit on age when it comes to perfume at all! It gives that fun, sexy and carefree radiance.
It’s something to wear if you don’t mind turning a few heads and having some questions from people intrigued about what you are wearing that day/night.
I could talk about perfume all day, so i’ll stop there – but I highly recommend going to the Dior counter and giving Poison Girl a little sniff (maybe also ‘Poison’ to see the connection and the difference between the two) and to let me know if you’re a fan of it as much as I am.
